Recently, Singapore’s icon for tourism the Merlion was struck by lightning. Oouch! It left a gaping hole on top of its mane. They fixed it real quick and the beloved Merlion is now standing proud as ever, spiting water into our newest reservoir for all tourist from near and afar clamouring to take their souvenir photo.
This week, we had three caricature orders for bosses of multinational companies and they all wanted the iconic symbol of Singapore in it, manely (OK bad pun :0 ) the beloved Merlion. All the Merlion we drew this week had a band-aid plaster on its head.
We do get a lot of query on “How to draw a Merlion”… but folks please don’t draw in the plaster.
We spotted this funny commercial featuring the Merlion. Hope you like it.
