Kindness Caricature Mural At Plaza Singapur

Due to overwhelming response from the public and good media coverage during the launch event, the Singapore Kindness movement engaged Kamal to repeat his live mural caricature drawing performance. This time, it was stretched over two weekends at the Plaza Singapura event hall located at Dhoby Ghaut MRT. It is estimated that there were more than 150 faces and messages on the 16ft x 8ft vinyl sheet after 3 sessions of drawing for 6 hours. Both murals are kept for displays during their road-shows.

Roaming Caricaturist at Esplanade on National Day

Kamal did a performance art project in conjunction with Singapore’s National Day. A large mural was created by drawing ‘live’ caricatures of people from all walks of life at the Esplanade on two weekends before the big day. Forty three faces to commemorate Singapore’s 43rd birthday was spray painted graffiti style onto the glass entrance. On National Day itself Kamal roamed the bay area and drew caricatures for free. He drew at random and roam about so as not to allow a queue to form.
